Samsung Dryer Not Heating or Drying? Causes and Fixes (UAE)
A Samsung dryer that tumbles but leaves your clothes cold and damp is one of the most common dryer faults we see in the UAE – and the cause is usually one of just a few parts. Here is how to read the symptoms before you call anyone.
Samsung dryer runs but produces no heat
If the drum turns but there is no warmth at all, the most likely culprits are:
- Blown thermal fuse – a safety device that cuts the heat if the dryer overheats, often triggered by lint build-up. Once blown, it must be replaced (and the lint cause cleared).
- Failed heating element – the part that actually generates heat. Common on vented and condenser Samsung models.
- Faulty thermostat – stops signalling the element to heat.
Lint is the hidden cause. A clogged lint path is the number-one reason thermal fuses blow, and it is a genuine fire risk. Clearing the element without clearing the lint just means it fails again.
Samsung heat-pump dryer takes too long to dry
Samsung heat-pump dryers (popular in UAE apartments for their efficiency) do not get as hot as vented models, so “not drying” usually means:
- A clogged condenser or evaporator – fine dust and lint block airflow, very common in the UAE.
- A faulty moisture sensor – the dryer thinks the load is dry and stops early.
- A full water tank or blocked drain on condenser models.
Common Samsung dryer error codes
Samsung shows fault codes on the display – a few you may see: HC / hot (overheating, often airflow/lint), dF (door or flow issue), tS / tO (temperature sensor), 9C2 / 13C (sensor or wiring). Note the code and tell us when you book – it tells our technician exactly which part to bring.
Our dryer repair team carries Samsung heating elements, thermal fuses, sensors and belts; for Dubai homes see dryer repair in Dubai. For other appliances, our refrigerator repair and washing machine repair teams cover Samsung too.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Samsung dryer not heating but still running?
Usually a blown thermal fuse, a failed heating element or a faulty thermostat – often triggered by a clogged lint path. A technician tests the heating circuit and replaces the failed part.
Is a Samsung dryer worth repairing?
Yes, in most cases – elements, fuses and sensors are inexpensive relative to a new dryer. We give a fixed quote first.
How do I clear a Samsung dryer error code?
Note the code and switch the dryer off. Some clear on restart, but a recurring code means a real fault – share the code when you book so we arrive with the right part.
